Freyssinet – Tierra Armada Panam\u00e1<\/strong>\u00a0began the second Reinforced Earth\u00ae<\/sup> wall project in\u00a0Nicaragua<\/strong>\u00a0with the construction of the 7 Sur interchange. Launched in\u00a02017<\/strong>\u00a0by national authorities, this work forms part of a\u00a0road network improvement project\u00a0to\u00a0improve mobility<\/strong>\u00a0in the city and its surrounding areas.<\/p>\n In 2017,\u00a0Freyssinet – Tierra Armada Panam\u00e1<\/strong>\u00a0had already taken part in the first phase of the project with the construction of\u00a04,800 m\u00b2<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0Reinforced Earth\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0walls on access ramps for the Piedrecitas interchange bridges. Made of\u00a0TerraSquare\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0and reinforcements, these walls were the first built outside of Panama since the launch of this BU.<\/p>\n Freyssinet – Tierra Armada Panam\u00e1 began the second phase of works in July 2018<\/strong>, taking charge of engineering, supply and\u00a0technical assistance for\u00a03,873 m\u00b2<\/strong>\u00a0of Reinforced Earth\u00ae<\/sup> walls for three access ramps to the ‘7 Sur’ interchange bridge.<\/p>\n As the capital’s biggest road junctions, the\u00a0Piedrecitas<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a07 Sur\u00a0<\/strong>interchanges will\u00a0improve\u00a0road\u00a0circulation<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a040,000\u00a0vehicles<\/strong> daily, reducing journey times from the previous\u00a050<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a080<\/strong>\u00a0minutes to\u00a010<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a015<\/strong>\u00a0minutes maximum at rush hour when the works are completed in\u00a02019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>Localisation<\/h2>\n<\/div>
